Somos Ratas

“Somos Ratas” turns a simple declaration—“we are rats”—into a compact piece of comic identity. The humor comes from treating sneaky, opportunistic, or unapologetically chaotic behavior as though it were a proud group motto. That contrast makes the audio easy to recognize in meme edits: the wording sounds direct and serious, while the idea itself is wonderfully ridiculous.

Its Spanish-language delivery gives the clip a distinct rhythm and personality, particularly for audiences familiar with Chilean internet humor. The phrase can land as a reaction to taking the last snack, finding a clever workaround, avoiding responsibility, or celebrating a victory that was technically a little questionable. It also works when a friend group collectively embraces its reputation for mischief rather than pretending to be innocent.

On a soundboard, “Somos Ratas” is most effective as a quick punchline or verbal caption. Drop it after a suspicious plan is revealed, when someone gets away with something, or whenever a harmless situation suddenly develops cartoon-villain energy. The title’s bluntness is part of the appeal: there is no elaborate setup required, only the shared joke that sometimes the most honest description of the group is also the funniest one.
