Ew David Meloboom

Few short phrases carry as much comic attitude as “Ew, David!” In Schitt’s Creek, Alexis Rose directs the line toward her brother David, and the combination of drawn-out disgust, theatrical emphasis, and sibling exasperation made it highly recognizable beyond the show itself. “Ew David Meloboom” brings that same reaction-oriented energy into a compact soundboard clip.

The appeal is in its flexibility. It can punctuate an unappetizing food reveal, respond to a questionable outfit, underline an embarrassing confession, or serve as a humorous reaction to a friend’s latest message. The delivery does not need much setup: the name “David” gives the clip a built-in target, while the opening “Ew” immediately communicates disapproval. That makes it especially effective in conversations where a dramatic response is funnier than a detailed explanation.

Its tone is playful rather than genuinely hostile, rooted in the heightened sibling banter and expressive comedy associated with Schitt’s Creek. Drop it into a voice chat after an ill-advised suggestion, use it as a quick reply in a meme exchange, or let it act as an audio caption for a visually ridiculous moment. The clip works best when the situation is mildly questionable and the reaction is gloriously disproportionate.
