Whoosh Clean

“Whoosh Clean” is built around the instantly recognisable sensation of something moving quickly through the air. The effect feels streamlined rather than heavy: a controlled rush with a clear tonal shape, minimal grit, and no distracting musical elements. That makes it especially useful when an edit needs momentum but the surrounding audio still needs room to breathe.

In video work, it can underline a title sliding onto the screen, a graphic snapping into place, a rapid camera move, or a transition between two scenes. It also suits motion-comic edits, short-form clips, presentations, and interface animations where a polished sweep adds energy without suggesting impact or danger. Because the name emphasises “Clean,” the effect is easy to imagine beneath spoken commentary, where a busier or more dramatic pass-by might compete with the voice.

On a soundboard, “Whoosh Clean” works as a flexible punctuation mark. Trigger it after a quick joke, during an exaggerated hand gesture, or when revealing an unexpected image for a little extra visual emphasis. Its broad, neutral feel also makes it useful across different moods, from professional and modern to lighthearted and cartoon-adjacent. The result is motion conveyed in audio: concise, smooth, and adaptable enough to support an edit rather than define it.
