No Tempo Do Bolsonaro NãO Chovia Assim

A rainy day becomes a political comparison in “No Tempo Do Bolsonaro NãO Chovia Assim,” a spoken Brazilian Portuguese sound whose humor depends on confident exaggeration. The phrase translates roughly to “Back in Bolsonaro’s time, it didn’t rain like this,” turning an ordinary weather observation into a mock-serious verdict about the present. That deliberately illogical connection is what gives the clip its meme appeal: instead of discussing forecasts or climate, the speaker frames rainfall as proof that the world has entered a strange new era.

Its tone works especially well as a reaction because the wording sounds like a complaint, a nostalgic recollection, and a political jab at the same time. In a soundboard setting, it can punctuate footage of torrential rain, flooded streets, soaked clothing, leaky roofs, or any situation where someone is dramatically blaming current conditions on changing times. It can also land in gaming clips, group-chat edits, and comedy videos when an unexpected event calls for an exaggerated explanation.

The reference to Bolsonaro places the line within Brazil’s politically charged meme culture, but the audio does not need a specific political argument to be funny. The joke is the theatrical certainty of the comparison. Played with the right timing, “No Tempo Do Bolsonaro NãO Chovia Assim” transforms a simple weather moment into a deadpan piece of social commentary, especially for Brazilian Portuguese-speaking audiences familiar with political humor and everyday complaints about the rain.
