2 Metal Balls

“2 Metal Balls” is built around a simple but distinctive piece of material sound: two metal spheres making contact. The result is a sharp clack followed by a brief ring, with a clean, polished character that stands out clearly even in a busy audio mix. It feels tactile and immediate—the kind of sound that lets listeners imagine the objects bouncing, rolling, or briefly knocking against one another without needing any visual explanation.

Its compact length gives it plenty of flexibility on a soundboard. Drop it after an awkward pause for a tiny burst of physical comedy, use it to underline a minor mistake, or place it between spoken lines as an intentionally literal reaction to something “metal,” heavy, or mechanical. The bright impact can also suggest a small tool, game-piece collision, workshop moment, or cartoon-style prop interaction, depending on the surrounding context.

Because the sound is short and relatively focused, it works well as an accent rather than taking over a scene. It can punctuate a punchline, mark a transition, or add a satisfying bit of texture to a video edit. The title keeps the concept straightforward, while the ringing contact gives the clip enough character to be recognisable after only one listen.
