Slimer Sneeze

A sneeze from Slimer is never going to sound polite or ordinary. “Slimer Sneeze” leans into the character’s famously messy, mischievous personality with a damp, exaggerated vocal effect that feels more like a supernatural blob losing control than a normal human achoo. The result is silly, slightly gross, and highly recognizable in spirit without needing much setup.

The clip works especially well as a reaction sound. A sudden sneeze can puncture an overly serious statement, interrupt a dramatic reveal, or underline the moment when a conversation takes an unexpectedly weird turn. Its cartoon quality also suits Ghostbusters-themed edits, animated scenes, gaming commentary, comedy videos, and soundboard exchanges where a little ectoplasmic chaos is welcome. Played on its own, it creates an amusing image; placed after a punchline or awkward pause, it becomes a compact bit of comic punctuation.

Because the effect is short and strongly characterful, it can be triggered without overwhelming the surrounding audio. Pair it with other ghostly noises, startled reactions, or squishy impact effects to build a playful haunted-house atmosphere. “Slimer Sneeze” is at its best when the timing is deliberately unexpected—the stranger the moment, the funnier the interruption tends to feel.
