Proceed

A single word can move an entire scene forward. “Proceed” sounds like a formal authorization delivered after a decision has been made: no extra explanation, no hesitation, just permission to continue. That makes it especially effective as a compact reaction in voice chats, livestreams, gaming sessions, and video edits where timing matters more than a long spoken response.

Its appeal comes from the contrast between the polished wording and the situations where people tend to use it. In a serious setting, it can suggest authority, focus, or an official instruction. In a casual or ridiculous situation, the same word becomes dryly theatrical—an amusing way to approve an overcomplicated plan, acknowledge an incoming bit, or give a friend the go-ahead with mock ceremony. The title’s simplicity also leaves room for interpretation: it may function as a command, a verdict, or a final confirmation.

On a soundboard, “Proceed” works best as a punctuation mark. Place it after a pause, a proposal, or an unexpected setup to make the next action feel deliberate. It can reinforce a successful play, cue the start of a challenge, or turn an ordinary decision into a tiny scene of bureaucratic drama. Its concise phrasing keeps it flexible without overwhelming the surrounding conversation.
