Ah Shit, Here We Go Again. U002d Cj

Few lines communicate reluctant déjà vu as efficiently as “Ah Shit, Here We Go Again. U002d Cj.” Associated with Carl “CJ” Johnson in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the quote lands with a mix of frustration and resignation. It does not sound like a dramatic outburst so much as the exhausted response of someone watching a familiar disaster begin for the second, third, or twentieth time.

That balance is what gives the clip its lasting meme value. The profanity supplies an immediate jolt, while “Here We Go Again” carries the real joke: the speaker already knows where the situation is heading. In a soundboard setting, it can punctuate a failed plan, a teammate’s questionable decision, a recurring technical problem, or any conversation that has suddenly taken an unfortunately predictable turn. It also works as a reaction to returning to a difficult game mission or reopening a problem everyone thought was finished.

The reference is especially recognizable to fans of GTA and early-2000s console gaming, but the emotional idea is broad enough to travel well beyond the franchise. Drop it after an unexpected twist, a repeated mistake, or a friend announcing an obviously risky plan. The clip’s concise delivery makes the timing easy: play it immediately after the bad news, or let a brief pause build anticipation before the line arrives.
