The Goonies Hey You Guys

“The Goonies Hey You Guys” captures the exuberant cry associated with Sloth in The Goonies, turning a simple greeting into a full-volume declaration. The delivery is enthusiastic, unmistakable, and slightly chaotic in the most lovable way—less like someone entering a room and more like an entire adventure has just begun. Its charm comes from the combination of childlike excitement, dramatic projection, and the instantly recognizable rhythm of the phrase.

As a soundboard clip, it fits moments that need an oversized reaction without requiring a long explanation. Drop it into a group chat when someone finally arrives, use it to announce a surprising reveal, or play it after a friend makes an especially dramatic entrance. It can also punctuate a successful game round, celebrate a ridiculous idea, or turn a quiet voice call into a miniature treasure-hunt scene. The short wording makes the clip easy to understand even when it appears unexpectedly, while the animated performance gives it plenty of personality.

Its strongest quality is pure theatrical timing. “Hey you guys!” is friendly, excited, and inherently communal, so it feels more like an invitation to join the fun than a random yell. Fans of The Goonies will recognize the reference immediately, while listeners unfamiliar with the scene can still enjoy the unmistakable enthusiasm packed into the shout.
